Provide leadership development and coaching services, develop new tools and teaching materials, and host training institutes as we strive to broaden and fulfill life's journey and foster a deeper understanding of end-of-life care for those we serve.

Excellence in End-of-Life Care

Learn to apply service, quality, people, financial and growth prescriptives and specific leadership principles to improve the quality of end-of-life care in your community. Our hands-on approach will provide you with strategies, tactics and tools necessary to create meaningful differences in the lives of thousands of patients and families and the staff who serve them.

  • SERVICE: Build breakthrough quality in providing end-of-life care to individuals in hospitals, nursing homes, adult living facilities, skilled nursing facilities and other settings. Learn the value of employing leadership techniques in developing mutually beneficial partnerships to attain high quality patient care, growth, and to better meet community needs. Awarded the 2005 Award of Excellence in Community Awareness and Education from Florida Hospices and Palliative Care.
  • QUALITY: Ensure that staff and volunteers are equipped to provide patients and caregivers with appropriate tools and information. Participants will be introduced to this award-winning approach to education and its components which offer reassurance, instruction and guidelines relating to the end-of-life journey. Awarded the 2004 Award of Excellence for Community Education by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
  • PEOPLE: Conduct a power-packed staff orientation and training program based on leadership excellence that builds competence for prize-winning patient care. Participants will be introduced to this award-winning program and its potential uses within any healthcare organization. Awarded the 2005 Award of Excellence in Internal Staff Education from Florida Hospices and Palliative Care.
  • FINANCE: Learn the key components of creating a homelike environment while avoiding pitfalls in planning a hospital-based inpatient palliative care and hospice unit. From contracting to business plans, to design orientation and opening, this session will outline tools and steps to ensure success.
  • GROWTH: Create referral loyalty with medical providers through consistency in message, relationship and service to increase your community's access to quality end-of-life care. Learn about strategies that your organization can implement to deploy a dynamic program of systematic outreach to key referral sources.

Covenant Hospice was recently awarded the "Circle of Life Award", the highest award for excellence in end-of-life care by the American Hospital Association.
