Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado Receives Prestigious National Award
Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado was named a Circle of Life Award® Honoree. Hospice was recognized for its innovative program that improves the care of patients near the end of life or with life-threatening conditions.
The Circle of Life Award celebrates programs across the nation that have made great strides in palliative and end-of-life care. Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado was chosen by a selection committee made up of leaders from medicine, nursing, social work, ethics and health administration. The committee focused on innovative programs that respect patient goals and preferences, provide comprehensive care, acknowledge and address the family or caregivers' concerns and needs and build systems and mechanisms of support to continue the program for future patients and caregivers.
Florida Hospice and Palliative Care Awards Covenant Hospice
Covenant Hospice received the Award of Excellence in Program Innovation for its Tuck-in Program. The award was presented to Sandra Huster, Director of Volunteer Services at the Florida Hospices and Palliative Care's 2010 Conference, recently held in Orlando. FHPC created the Awards of Excellence program in order to identify, recognize and showcase outstanding and innovative work of programs and individual staff members across the state of Florida.
